Fragments. (2016 - 2017)

Thinking about the past, the old or useless objects that people may have and not use anymore, I decided to take objects that may have been "left out" and give them a new purpose, a new life. Inspired by an abandoned school nearby my house, I have taken things I found in there, imagined how they may have been used and what they looked like and create them out of materials like clay or plaster. With that my aim was to show the past of those materials because even though they are considered useless, they used to have a purpose. So, instead of not giving attention to the missing parts, I will recreated them and show the memories of what’s left. Through this project I want to show that it is not just the things we see that matters, but their past plays a big role on their current state.
